Celebration for a King (Film Trailer)

This Sunday, Marvin Curtis and the South Bend Symphony Orchestra will present a new television special called Celebration for a King. The film is the company’s second released on Juneteenth, following last year’s A Juneteenth Celebration.

The hour-long special was filmed across three concerts at local churches in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day and features symphonic music from composers of African descent, gospel music from each church’s choir, a guest solo from Julliard violist Cameren Anai Williams, and interviews with Marvin Curtis, Justus Zimmerman, Emorja Roberson, and Turrell O’Neal.

The film will air on WNIT Public Television at 4:00 & 8:00 PM on Sunday, June 19th, and we will publish a streaming link here on the blog.

Until then, enjoy the trailer.
