Christmas Day on Prairie Avenue

On Christmas morning, after coffee and monkey bread with my wife Kristen and friend Ryan Blaske, we bundled up and set out for a snowy stroll down Prairie Avenue.

A photo stroll with a friend is not typically in the cards on Christmas—most years, Kristen and I would be sitting in my parent’s living room on the far northwest side of town—but tradition is no match for the pandemic.

What follows is a sequential selection of film photos captured between Calvert Street and Indiana Avenue. Ryan and I are both working on our film photography, so some are from my Canon AE-1, and others are from his Canon AF35M.
