Nowhere, USA? – S1E14

[the article] set up Pete in opposition to his city ... he’s not an outsider, he’s from South Bend
— Nora McGreevy

Pete Buttigieg was recently the subject of a Politico profile titled 'The President of Nowhere, USA.' The profile's primary focus was Pete's uncertain political path beyond the Mayor's office, but that point was surrounded by a host of interesting comments about Pete and our city, South Bend.

Nora McGreevy and Micaela Powers are both Notre Dame students who grew up in South Bend. Nora recently wrote an article about me in The Observer titled 'Scene in South Bend: Jacob Titus is on The Move.'

Our conversation hovers around these two articles. Both Nora and Micaela raised points (regarding the article about Pete) that I had not considered, specifically about the article's creation of a Pete v. South Bend narrative.
